The problem with this is that almost ALL color palettes with this trick lack diversity with colors and shades, and causes too much unity going on that diversity isn’t allowed to show. Instead of changing the WHOLE layer’s opacity, keep it at 100% and instead lower the brush’s opacity to have the lower opacity effect over the line, and instead of keeping all colors at a base 50% opacity, play around with the opacity of each color! If you want the skin to stick out more and not be too similar to the color palette and/or the tint, increase the opacity instead of keeping it at 50%, and so on for the other colors.
