❤️🐾 THIS THANK YOU IS FOR ALL OF YOU 🐾❤️ Sometimes I look around at everything being done here at Deep South Canine Rescue and realize that none of this happens because of one person. It happens because an entire community chooses to care. To the people who have brought us bags of dog food, blankets, bowls, treats, leashes, collars, crates, dog kennels, cleaning supplies, air-conditioning units, washing machines and countless other things we need—THANK YOU. Some of you may think, “It was only a bag of food,” or “It was just a couple of blankets.” But to us, there is no such thing as “just” a donation. That bag of food filled hungry bellies.
That blanket gave a scared dog something soft to sleep on.
That leash and collar helped us safely walk and socialize a dog.
That kennel gave a dog a safe place to rest.
That treat helped teach a frightened dog that people can be kind. And to our foster families who have opened the doors of their own homes—there are simply not enough words. You have made room in your homes and in your hearts. You have rearranged your lives, cleaned up messes, lost sleep, driven to vet appointments, worked on house training, and loved dogs through some of the hardest days of their lives. And sometimes, you have cried when it was finally time to let them go. Fostering doesn’t just help one dog. It opens a space for us to save the next one. Thank you to those who help with transportation, gas, preventatives, vetting, spaying and neutering, and all the expenses that come with getting these dogs healthy and ready for their next chapter. Thank you to the people who answer phones, make countless calls, handle paperwork and finances, pay bills, schedule vet appointments, coordinate transports and work quietly behind the scenes. And thank you to our boots on the ground who show up day after day and do the physical work that has to be done. And please don’t ever think that sharing one of our posts doesn’t matter. Every like, share and comment puts these dogs in front of someone new. That person could become their foster, sponsor, adopter or simply the connection that changes their life. We are a small rescue right here in Ellaville, Georgia, trying to make a difference not only in our own community, but in as many surrounding counties as we possibly can. What you see happening here is what happens when ordinary people come together and decide that these animals matter. We may be small, but the village standing behind us is mighty. Every donation. Every foster home. Every mile driven. Every hour volunteered. Every share. Every prayer. It ALL matters. And it ALL saves lives. From the bottom of our hearts at Deep South Canine Rescue, thank you for being part of this mission. Thank you for standing behind us and, most importantly, thank you for believing these dogs are worth saving. God bless each and every one of you. ❤️🐾
