I was too young to remember this moment, but somehow, my heart remembers what my mind cannot. There I am, a newborn, safe in my mother’s arms, held by the woman who gave me life. I lost her when I was just a little child, long before I had the chance to truly know her, to ask her questions, to hear all her stories, or to tell her how much I loved her. For one frozen moment in time, I can see that before life taught me about loss, before I knew what it meant to miss someone for a lifetime, I knew the warmth of my mother’s arms. I was her baby. She held me. She loved me. And for that moment, my entire world was right there in her embrace. Mom, so many years have passed, but there has always been a place inside my heart that belongs only to you. I have lived, grown, struggled, dreamed, fallen, gotten back up, and become the man I am today, but part of me will always be that little boy who wishes he could feel your arms around him one more time. I would give anything for one more embrace. One more moment. One chance to look into your eyes and say the words I never had enough time to say,
