china is building all over this area even though researchers already warned about serious risks from landslides debris flows and unstable slopes china even built a power plant there and in july 2025 nepal got no!! advance!! warning!! when a flood came from tibet into nepal so maybe taking these risks and warning systems seriously before building even more infrastructure would be a smart idea

It’s well known of China’s mass development projects been going on for decades. That’s what causes the poor air quality. They strip away trees and plants leaving loose dirt that get picked up by the wind and fills the air. Landslides are common in these cases.

the nepal disaster should also be seen as a warning about chinas massive yarlung tsangpo hydropower project in tibibet because the project is being built in an area with active faults earthquakes glaciers landslides and extreme height differences , chinese geologists have also warned that an active fault runs through the project area and that this could create risks for dams tunnels roads bridges and reservoir slopes this does not prove that a disaster will happen but the risks are clearly serious and should not just be ignored calling the whole project safe just because nothing has happened yet makes no sense millions of people live downstream including people in india so if something ever goes badly wrong the consequences could be huge and that is exactly why this project deserves much more attention and pressure!!!
