Couldn’t agree more, the sooner you start the easier it is, but for anyone playing with numbers like this please take 3.5% off your assumed return rate, this allows for inflation and spits out a value in terms of today’s spending power, for example £1 million pounds today will only be worth around £333k in today’s money in 30 years, inflation roughly halves spending power every 20 years.
