Not to mention that Simon has potent healing abilities and the ability to see the future, two rare powers for Green Lanterns. I personally headcanon that Simon's healing powers comes from him subconsciously tapping into the Blue and Violet light.

The issue with GL’s is that there’s to many of them on earth. It’s why a lot of them are so underutilized. I feel like we should just stop making new GL’s in earth and expand on the ones we got.

The series where he and Jessica are GL partners is great. The two have such a good dynamic of best friend coworkers. They're the two rookie GLs in the eyes of Earth - untested and always held up against absolute legends of the Corps and Earth heroes in general.

While Simon remains my least favorite Lantern, I do respect the ability to explain the appeal of the character. For me, the issue with Simon is that the introduction was such a dud that it was difficult to get back from there, especially when competing for space with so many other Lantern characters. Like I remember when Simon first came about and absolutely was asking for a new human Green Lantern, with the sole exception that there were voices asking for a prominent female Lantern. So then to just get Simon was so confounding, especially since even the story struggled to explain his necessity.

I LOVE Simon, his and Jessica’s series was when I first started reading comics and I’m SO upset he’s not the male lead in Jessica’s animated show. Tbh I think they need to just reassign different colors to the Earth Lanterns so they all can stand out from each other more
