As at now, the rural area allowance promised is no where to be found. Not to even talk of promotions. The problem of teachers is their Union Leaders. More strike actions. Otherwise the government will never take them serious. 😏

Our association leaders are our problem. They are only interested in milking our dues and mutual fund but doesn’t care about our welfare. I’m GNAT member we have Gnat hall at Ashanti GES Regional office but teachers are not allowed to hold conferences there.

Politicians don't care about Teachers and Nurses because these fraternities don't benefit them directly. They take their kids out to school abroad and get medical care abroad. They respect the security services because they benefit directly from them (bodyguards and all sort of protections). Unfortunately the teacher unions are also very useless and so it will continue like this till teacher unions wise up. Many teachers and nurses are home without posting and their unions for which they technically belong do nothing about it. You will never hear that the security agencies pass out and are home without posting da !!! But politicians will tell teachers and nurses all sort of nonsense after they graduate
