@ganiyunohurry: WHY YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT KEEPS GETTING WORSE …THE REAL ANSWER (Breaking down Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah's analysis) The Question Nobody in Government Wants to Answer: If the economy is "resetting," why are more young Ghanaians jobless than before? The answer isn't complicated …it's policy. Jobs don't appear from slogans. They come from industry. And this government has been dismantling industry, not building it. THE FACTORIES THAT MADE JOBS …GONE Under 1D1F, 150 factories were operating nationwide, according to the NDPC's own report …real manufacturing jobs, real production, real employment for young people. NDC's response? Not reform. Cancellation. No incentives, no fixes, no replacement …just removed. THE "REPLACEMENT" THAT CREATES NO JOBS** Their answer to 1D1F was the "24-hour economy" ..261 district markets trading around the clock. But ask the obvious question: “trading what?”If nothing is being manufactured locally, these markets sell imported goods. Imported goods create jobs in someone else's country, not ours. Two years on, even the promised incentive package for this plan still isn't ready. THE AUTO INDUSTRY —SAME STORY Incentives for local vehicle assembly, cancelled. Companies that invested millions building assembly plants in Ghana are now watching that investment sit idle. Every idle plant is workers not hired, apprentices not trained, suppliers not paid. THE MATH THAT MATTERS Manufacturing is where a country generates volume employment for young people ..not government messaging, not markets selling foreign goods. When you collapse the industrial policy architecture and don't replace it, the jobs don't relocate. They simply don't exist. That's the NDPC's own warning: growth without jobs. GDP can tick up while youth unemployment climbs, because growth without manufacturing doesn't reach the people who need work most. You cannot dismantle the policies that build factories, replace them with markets that sell what other countries made, and then ask why young people can't find work. The jobs crisis isn't an accident of circumstance …it's the direct, traceable result of policy choices this government made and has yet to reverse. Kill the industry, kill the jobs. It really is that simple. #YouthUnemployment #1D1F #GhanaJobs #PolicyMatters
