I have two touching scenarios and here they go: 1) This 14year old female in the Mulago ICU called me and said doctor, hold my chest, it’s you that will heal me, don’t go anywhere, and in afew minutes she started gasping 😢😢, I, with the ICU team tried resuscitating though all in vain. She died holding my hand saying “Doctor, you are my friend” Rest well beloved girl. May the angels keep your beautiful soul in eternity. 2) A 27year old female on Medical ward with no caretaker, who had been admitted for more than 5weeks with complicated sickness, had moderately improved, after getting her a well wisher caretaker with some little provisions from my pocket, then we tried hard and finally landed on some of her relatives who came to check on her and 2 days post being found by her relatives, everything tending to normal, she deteriorated and I was called immediately for a quick intervention. She was happy to see me though she was sweating profusely with severe chest in-drawing, provided Oxygen therapy and she asked me to help her sit 😢😢, which I did and she told me “Thank you for everything doctor, atleast I’ve seen my people” she then stopped breathing 😢😢 That pain has never left me 😢😢 May her soul rest eternally. My efforts of finding her people for more than a month had gone to waste. All the hope that I had gained ohhhhh 😢😢😢😢. Death is death guys 😢😢😢😢
