I did this in 2023, 16 day trip across the US and back. Make sure your bank account can afford it. We chartered one for $11,200 a day, private chef, food and drinks anytime. It was definitely worth it.

Yeah, private train cars have been around since the trains were built. Because remember trains were the method of getting across the country or going to other cities, and that was the primary means of transportation before airplanes.

Buy a train car, buy amazing land near rail road, build a spur. Get your house dropped off for a season or two while you stay.

It’s so expensive and I don’t understand how as trains are one of if not the cheapest ways to move freight and stuff. I get the cost of hooking them onto a train but it can’t add that much extra in fuel and stuff.

The top photo is Whitefish, Montana, my home. It's appropriate that you used it for this vdo because it's an extremely wealthy resort town, full Billionaires that actually own private train cars and you can see them in the train yard sometimes.

My great grandfather was head of the Texas railway. My grandmother would tell me stories about their private car that they would take for trips and that she would take it to college with her friends in the 50s.

My family did this for a reunion trip from PHL to Orlando yearssssss ago. There were 10 little kids, and we were able to do whatever we wanted without disturbing other passengers. Way more cost effective than a PJ too.
