I also thought this before I realized that it's supposed to feel repetitive its supposed to be like that because it Kratos trying to master himself until he can finally overcome his past that he ran away from in a way its kind of poetic because of its repetition and I can say one thing and that's Kratos need to face his past to become the God of Hope I hope that helps you guys if you didn't understand

what's crazy is that the DLC is a rogue-like game A roguelike game is supposed to be difficult. it's supposed to be like this. look at any other rogue game and it's almost exactly like this besides the POV and a few other things that they tweaked to fit it into the God of war name and also it's a free DLC which is optional. there's no need to play it and also for people who say it's boring. you're just upset that kratos is not going around killing gods or just other stuff that is not his character and this DLC is in your face about how this DLC is therapy basically for kratos and him coming to terms with his past and bettering himself for the future and what he will do as the god of Hope and what he will do to be better and to unite the realms

I will admit Valhalla was really punishing with its selection of bosses and opponents, but I got so so so much better at the game when constantly retrying, it isn’t easy like learning from your mistakes because the mini bosses are different each time and your glyphs aren’t the same and sometimes you’ll have really good runic attacks but sucky glyphs or really good glyphs but no runic attacks, but before playing Valhalla I was really only a basic attack user in ragnarok and when playing it on the give me god of war difficulty it took me ages to win, when playing Valhalla it really forced me to adapt and switch up my strategies and actually use combos to succeed, I had never felt so fulfilled when I finally beat tyr and completed The DLC knowing I was getting better even if some attempts sucked more than the last there were moments I purely just locked in, everyone is entitled to their own opinion obviously, it was punishing and really mentally draining a lot of the times where I had to step away, but constantly going back at it later to beat the hell out of all the creatures and defeat the god of war in the highest difficulty on Valhalla as well was so thrilling, challenging yet really punishing for its glyph options being useless and rarely effective, I wish the creator could find the same enjoyment as I did among other people who hated Valhalla but everyone won’t experience the same thing so I only hope everyone gave it their all and tried their hardest no matter the outcome

Ngl I love Valhalla, as well as all of ragnarok. One of the most fun challenges on a game in a long time. Still need to go back and do a true godkiller run that’s probably the hardest challenge run out of everything I’ve done

I also and 50/50 on the Tyr boss fight like hes cool and tough but ive never been a fan of boss fights that have the boss leave and throw little henchmen at you and then comeback id rather just fight the boss the whole time

the fights weren't hard enough to crash out over....also its a roguelike mode they add for people to replay. its not bad at all.

It’s…it’s a rouge like. It’s meant to be played through multiple times for you to get stronger. You can not like the dlc that’s all well and good but you’re calling it a failure to executing on the premise the dlc was built on, being a rouge like. That would be like saying God of war 1 fails because it’s a hack and slash and you don’t like hack and slash.
