I’m right here with ya, day 8 of no drinks. Starting to feel a bit better. Definitely less anxious yesterday and today. I only drank in the evenings but it was every evening. Would have a buz ball and 2-4 beers. Depending on the night. My b12 has been low, I was anxious a lot, had random inflammation. Just felt exhausted and definitely dehydrated

Lying has been a huge part of my addiction and hiding it from my husband…who has currently left me due to it. I have been to a mental/substance abuse facility and currently trying medication and therapy for this horrible addiction. Prayers would be much appreciated❤️

Yep lying was my big one (like no one knew I was plastered) I’d leave my phone at the house multiple times in a day to drive to the liquor store so no one knew where I went.

My mom was an alcoholic and now my spouse of 9 years is an alcoholic. It’s ruining us. We have a child together. I grew up hurt by someone I love because of their addiction as a child and again now as an adult. This is so hard and heartbreaking. I love him I just wish he could be better.

we found so many bottles (and pills over 500) hidden in my dad's room. I still have never seen so many air plane bottles in my life. it just made me sad, it was a visual representation of how much he genuinely struggled and his showed his shame. addiction is so hard to conquer, my dad knew he was an addict, he tried so many times to get sober but just never could. .. you wanted to talk about it, because its true and sometimes we need to tell the truth even if it doesnt make sense for the moment. you are still healing love its part of it.
