Okay hear me out 👀 What if Nesta is actually Asterin’s daughter, When Asterin gave birth, the Matron threw the baby into the fire but what if the baby was a GLAMOUR? 😭 Someone had already hidden the real baby and sent her through a rift to another world so the Matron could never find her. The real baby grew up in Prythian as Nesta. That could explain why Nesta’s power is so ancient and different, and why the Cauldron seemed to recognize something in her. What if Nesta’s whole story is actually a hidden Maasverse homecoming…. Because the name Nesta means homecoming in ancient Greek.

Anyone remember in ACOSF when Nesta draws a line in the snow and steps over it, ready to hold the pass? Manon does the same exact thing before she faces down the Matrons. Nesta has heard of an ancient Illyrian who did that move and she thinks she’s copying that, but Manon reenacts it as Rhiannon did it. Witch behavior!

Idk HOW but she’s definitely an iron teeth witch. In ACOTAR when they’re talking about her resisting the glamour, feyre says “only someone with an iron will” could resist. That word choice is NOT an accident.

in ACOTAR chapter 30 when Feyre realizes the glamour didn’t work on Nesta, Nesta says “Apparently an iron will is all it takes to keep a glamour from digging in.” IRON you say? 🧐 also - in chapter 28, Feyre sees Nesta and mentions how she forgot how cunning her eyes were. Then Feyre says “she’d been made differently, from something harder and stronger than bone and blood.”
