@luqman.aldarrawi: Istikhara is one of the beautiful Sunnahs taught to us by the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) for times when we are unsure about a decision. 🤲 Whether you are considering marriage, travelling, starting a business, buying a car or house, starting a new job, or making any permissible decision, you can turn to Allah and ask Him to choose what is best for you. Istikhara is not about waiting for a dream or a mysterious sign. You ask Allah, through His perfect knowledge, to make the matter easy and blessed for you if it is good for you, and to turn it away from you if it is harmful, while granting you what is better and making you content with it. How to pray Istikhara: 1️⃣ Make wudu and pray 2 rakahs of voluntary prayer, just like a normal nafl prayer. 2️⃣ Complete the two rakahs and say salam to finish the prayer. 3️⃣ After the salam, recite the Dua of Istikhara taught by the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). In the dua, when you reach the part referring to “this matter”, mention the decision you are seeking guidance about. Some scholars also held that the Dua of Istikhara may be recited before the salam, after the final tashahhud, while still in the prayer. Both positions have been discussed by scholars. 4️⃣ After making the dua, place your trust in Allah and proceed with the matter. You do not have to wait for a dream or a specific sign. Allah may make something easier for you, turn you away from it, or guide you through what unfolds.
