Its workflow covers six core procedures: clay refining, hand‑throwing, carved‑and‑inlaid decoration, painting ornamentation, high‑temperature firing and glaze‑free polishing. Carved‑and‑inlaid work and glaze‑free polishing are its signature techniques. Craftsmen carve calligraphy and paintings on wet clay, fill grooves with coloured clay, fire pieces in kilns and polish repeatedly. Finished wares look smooth as jade with deep, elegant tones.
