He should’ve made that point very clear before they announced they wouldn’t be submitting their music. BTS’s team probably already knew, but most everyday people don’t, so if Harvey actually cared the way he’s trying to make it seem, he would’ve clarified it immediately once the backlash about the category started, prior to BTS announcement.

It’s about competition and expanding the Grammys reach. BTS knew it didn’t have a chance this year, but didn’t want to lose to other Korean groups in a separate Asian category.

This is no update. You are late and wrong about the issue being category. BTS did not state to boycott the said they would not submit to Grammy’s based on fact they do not want to be judged by where they come from or ethnicity.
