@creativecollectivema: Thursday night, the patio at 96 Lafayette was full. Neighbors, artists, members, partners — people who wouldn't otherwise be in the same room, eating and dancing in the same space. We came to recognize the local creators and elders whose work and everyday presence make people here feel seen and safe. But here's the thing — nights like this don't just happen. They get built, by a lot of hands. Thank you to Montserrat College of Art and North Shore Community Development Coalition for building this one with us. To Root, Bambolina, Spitfire Tacos + Tequila and Holy Cow Ice Cream Cafe for feeding everybody. To 360 Fiesta PHOTO BOOTH for the proof that we were all there. And thank you to every single person who showed up. You didn't have to. You did anyway — which is the whole thing, really. This is what Essex County looks like when it takes care of itself. 300+ businesses, a few incredible partners, and a patio full of people who kept showing up for each other.
