@michelleandbryan_tv: We lost our jobs, and no, we weren’t fired. We were both laid off at the same time, along with hundreds of others within our TV news company across the nation. We understand our situation has been pretty visible, but we want to acknowledge and support everyone else who was impacted, including so many talented journalists and people behind the scenes who suddenly found themselves in the same position. 🙏 More recently, it was publicly reported that our morning anchor positions were eliminated, meaning those positions will no longer exist. The changes were described as a way to add more reporters and expand community coverage. Here’s what’s interesting about what went on behind the scenes for us. Bryan and I didn’t just show up and read a teleprompter. We produced original journalism every day, reporting, shooting our own video and interviews, writing and editing our stories, all while carrying our morning and noon newscast responsibilities, with a 1 a.m. wake-up call to start the day. That said, we don't know every detail behind the decisions that were made, and we're not going to speculate. For additional context, both of our contracts were also set to expire later this year. So we had already been preparing for what might come next. And now, that’s the question we’re excited to answer soon. 🙏 #career #marriedlife
