For the last two years, I’ve been quietly working on creating a company I’ve hoped to come across but couldn’t find. A tour company that doesn’t just adapt to the lesbian & sapphic travel market, but curates itineraries for us from the jump. One that offers a wide portfolio of itineraries around the world - because it’s a common misconception that queer people only want to travel for pride related events. One that hires sapphic tour leaders, prioritizes building itineraries that support local lgbtq+/women-owned businesses, and thinks about safety from an intersectional lens. I deeply believe that queer people deserve to see the world just like everyone else, and that it’s safer (and more joyful!) when you don’t have to explain or shrink yourself to fit in while doing it. I’m not usually a group trip person but I know there are some locations where group travel makes the most sense (places like Kyrgyzstan that are stunning but difficult to traverse and where we don’t know the language). Do you do any off-the-beaten path kind of destinations?
