I had a crush on my classmate for a year I told myself it was just a simple infatuation, yet I gave her gifts—even on my own birthday when I didn't receive any gifts myself. I was okay with that, though, because I was able to give her something and she was happy with it, and that was all I wanted. However, even after I stopped having a crush on her, I realized it hadn't just been infatuation after all, would someone merely infatuated go to such lengths—giving gifts and doing everything just to make her happy, even at the cost of my own well-being? I realized I actually loved her—loved her so much that I forgot to love myself. My classmate—who happens to be my classmate again this school year—even told me that she had just been leading me on, but I’m okay with it at least I managed to make her happy at some point, even if she never developed feelings for me.

I though I was infatuated, after a year I still think of her in every little detail of my life. I remember how she always buys coffee everytime we go to jollibee, how scared you are when you saw my pet snake, how wierd your little monthly cravings are, how you always try to dip your fries on my ice cream, how you always looks out for others even if it means it will make things harder for you, or how you love someone so innocently and purely that I feel every kind of negative emotion when I found out how your ex used you. I wish I could show you love that would go over your expectation but I sadly can't. Knowing that you can be with someone better helps me go with my own life, even if your not there. Thank you S because meeting you made me a better son, a better classmate, a better friend, and most of all a better person.

How can I love someone I barely talk to? I don’t know when it happened, only that it did. I liked them before I even knew their name, and somehow, with each passing day, that feeling grew deeper.
