Unfortunately, this morning, someone did exactly that to me. I’m already pregnant, hormonal, and an emotional mess, so waking up to see the largest gifts on our registry marked as purchased absolutely shocked me. For a moment, I thought something incredible had happened. Then I realized I had been scammed—and I had to undo everything that had gotten my hopes up. To the person who thought this was funny: I hope you get as much joy in your life as you tried to take away from someone else today. And I genuinely hope someone does something kind for you, because clearly, you need it. You didn’t break me down.
