I think of it this way you can absolutely be friends with a woman! However there can be no physical attraction or you have slept with each in the past!

As a man with multiple female friends but have dated women who aren’t ok with it, I’ve realized that’s just the way people are sometimes. It’s generally incredibly insecure or immature folks who don’t believe in male/female friendships. I’ve just decided to stop dating women who don’t believe in that because it’s exhausting to be constantly questioned about a friendship I’ve had since high school that’s never been anything more than just a friendship.

Men will always want to f their female friends. Women can do platonic relationships but men will always take an opportunity to be intimate with the female friend when given one, in spite of the friendship. That's the difference..
