MM Ijlal :
I completely understand your perspective, but this is precisely the point I always emphasize. For me, it is not about whether it is the husband or the wife at fault. Our religion provides us with complete and clear guidance: do not lie, do not deceive, do not commit fraud, and stay completely faithful within your marriage without looking for illicit relationships outside. If two people truly recognize each other's rights, fulfill their duties, and remain honest and loyal, what reason could there possibly be for betrayal?
I am not singling out or criticizing any particular society, because dishonesty and disloyalty can happen in any religion or culture. However, we cannot ignore the fact that in societies where there is complete, unchecked freedom—where clubs, dating apps, and unrestricted mixing are readily available—these betrayals, lies, and casual affairs become far more common. When access to temptation becomes so effortless, human nature often falls prey to deception. Satan makes an outsider’s smile or charm look more alluring than one's own spouse, causing people to forget the loyal partner who stood by them through extreme hardships, cold, and heat.
When doing wrong becomes so accessible, it erodes a person's moral compass, leading them to betray the very person who dedicated their life to them. That is why I am against the kind of "freedom" that ultimately leads to dishonesty, betrayal, and the destruction of a life partner's life and a sacred relationship.
