always got flats back then, that i mastered this lol😂 Used to be such a headache back then, but now it's just a minor inconvenience. Except if it gets flat turn I'm not riding without a spare tube🫣🫣

Hey man I came across a persistent issue with a set of old secondhand wheels I bought. Kept getting flats even with the bike shop changing out the tubes for me (several times). I found that at the valve the reinforced bit wouldn’t allow room for the tyre to naturally sit between the tube and rim as it was being inflated and would push the tyre off and bulge. I managed to fix it by ensuring I pushed the valve/tube into the tyre during the initial inflation so as it expanded it sat within the tube instead of bulging out. It may be a very niche problem with that specific rim but I’m hoping this helps someone out.
