I’d say it’s not video games necessarily but any activity that becomes an unhealthy usage of time it just happens it is video games a lot but we all could do this with any activity if we ignore our responsibilities for it

Just like with eating, everything in moderation… My husband is a gamer. I, however, I am a reader. At the end of every day, he plays his game for one to two hours and I’m immersed in my book. We’re in the same room doing our own thing. It’s perfectly fine but again, it’s 1 to 2 hours not 12 to 18 hours on the video game there’s a definite difference.

it's not video games, it's prioritizing an activity over your partner. if video gaming is a deal breaker for you don't date a gamer. if spending too much time on your phone is a deal breaker don't date a girl obsessed with social media.

lol ya. Video games are a passive form of escapism. They might as well not even be home but it’s actually worse cause they’re there, just absolutely worthless and still needing food and making a mess. And sometimes yelling loudly. Super childish

Thank you for saying this. It’s abandonment the gaming. I had a conversation with my son when he was 20 because all he would do in his home time was game when he had a girlfriend. Also it does something to their brain. It’s an addiction

My fiance and i work our asses off and we love to play video games TOGETHER. It’s a great form of quality time for us because we strategize and help each other and work as a team. When it becomes something that SEPARATES you from your partner, then it’s a major issue. This goes with anything that creates distance and takes away from connection.
