@expedition.ola: It’s hard to be back in California when we so badly want to be driving through Mexico with our eyes scanning the sides of the road, wondering who we’re going to meet next. It genuinely breaks our hearts when we think about the dogs out there, right now, who need us😭 But if this mission has taught us anything, it’s that every detour and delay somehow leads us exactly where we need to be. Sometimes it’s the dogs who change our plans and determine our timeline. Sometimes it’s just life… truck problems, knee surgery, weather pushing us out before we’re ready. We roll with it. We trust this mission. We trust the timing. Because so many of the dogs we’ve rescued were found simply because we were somewhere we hadn’t planned to be, at a time we hadn’t planned to be there. So maybe our next dog isn’t waiting for us to hurry up and get there. Maybe we’re both just making our way toward the moment when our paths are meant to cross. We have no idea where that will be. The side of a highway? In front of a gas station? Some tiny town we never planned on stopping in? We don’t know what they’ll look like, what we’ll name them, or what their story will be. But when our paths finally cross… we’ll stop. They’ll climb into our truck, join our little pack, and for however long they need us, we’ll be their family🐾🫶🏼
