Patience :
A lot of insecure people feel they deserve what you have more than you. There is hidden anger within it and they’d take it from you for themselves if they magically could do so.

In quite literally insufferable. They make it your problem, your responsibility and your reality. I don’t want another one. I had one that was insecure about her body and because I wasn’t insecure about mine she made it her duty to bring up my body.

I have been a hardcore humanist for years and I'm still a deeply empathetic and compassionate person, but I had to learn the hard way you can't love somebody into giving a shit about themselves and people who are unhappy with themselves really will take it out on you just like you said. it's so frustrating

It's the self loathing. A lot of insecure people tend to also be entitled to validation while also self loathing you could complement them hold them up give them positive affirmations and they will come back with 10 more issues

🤚 ex-deeply insecure person here. I was mostly an avoidant insecure and it was mostly about my personality/identity and not so much appearance. It took me the longest while to realise that I was centering my discomfort in every interaction. It made me a crapy friend and made me feel completely disconnected from people bc I refused to share anything vulnerable or that could paint me in a bad light

This is something i understood immediately and ive learned to withhold empathy and community from the right people. Some people dont deserve to be cared for because they only know how to hurt and inconvenience the ones who care for them.

i agree! I think they don't distinguish insecurities like appearance, or maybe something small that everyone relates to and insecurities about their personality, their life, or whatever it may be and they push it onto you! its so draining to deal with
