I'M A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST—I'M NEVER GOING BACK. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” I am a new creation in Christ, and I'm not going back. There was a time when I lived according to my own desires, carried the weight of my past, and allowed sin to have influence over my life. But when I encountered Jesus, everything changed. Salvation isn't simply about adding Jesus to the life I already had—it is about becoming a new creation and beginning a new life with Him. The past may remind me of who I was, but it doesn't have to determine who I am. My failures don't have the final word. My sins don't have the final word. My mistakes don't have the final word. Jesus does. Through His death and resurrection, He made a way for me to be forgiven, restored, and transformed. I don't have to keep returning to the chains Christ already broke. That doesn't mean the journey will be perfect. There will still be temptation, difficult days, and moments when the old ways try to pull me back. But I don't have to surrender to them. I can keep my eyes on Christ, keep moving forward, and keep allowing the Holy Spirit to transform me. I'm not going back to the person I was because God is calling me into everything He created me to become. Lord, thank You for making me new. Give me the strength to leave my old life behind. When temptation calls me backward, remind me of what You brought me out of. When my past tries to define me, remind me of who I am in Christ. I don't want to return to what You delivered me from. I want to keep growing, keep following, keep surrendering, and keep becoming more like Jesus. The old has passed away. The new has come.
