My man works 40+ hours a week, if he wants to play some video games he can play some video games. I’d rather him home, ready to help me when he can rather than argue with a man that wants to go to a bar.

I game all day as a stay at home dad of 3... my pc is in the kitchen I can see and hear everything my kids do. not even hard to do. cook 3 meals a day, clean I home school them. everything np and I easily play like 8 hrs a day. about 8 hrs a day spent on cooking, cleaning, etc, schooling the kids and spending time with them. I also have a garden I work on, plus doing all the lawn care. life is good.

so if i cannot game while the child is awake, you cannot browse social media/shopping on the phone while the kid is awake. i’ve made changes to my schedule since having a child, but i was playing video games EVERYDAY. for 20+ years, ive been gaming. i have no problem giving up hours for gaming for my child, but to think you’re going to DICTATE my time for gaming is absurd.

If our kids are entertaining themselves he can plays during the day and he only plays games that can pause, online games are for when they are in bed. The gaming set up is in the living area so he is still available but also he works so much, if the dude wants to play a game I can handle the kids. He’s a great dad that needs a break too

If it was up to our wives, we would never have a chance to escape. They hate golf, they hate fishing, they hate video games. They hate when we work on the project car in the garage. Meanwhile, I’m in the kids in school. They do whatever they want all day if they’re a stay at home mom 🤣

If he’s locking himself in a room separate from the family? No. If he’s simply playing on the family tv and is still taking time to play with the kids… how is this different that watching a movie or your phone?

My son loves to sit on my lap with his own controller and act like he’s playing with me. The guys I play with are also dads. They understand if you have to go afk to help your kid.

Wait to be fair. Me and my husband both game, and if we want to game while the baby is awake…we take shifts and communicate. I don’t think it’s the husband gaming that’s problem its the communication.

Saying golf is okay and comparing it to 2 hours is hilarious. Golf is a 4 hour time commitment not including travel time to and from the course. Plus if food after is the plan. Golf can take 5-8 hours easily

The only problem I have is when he “can’t” help because he “can’t” pause the game. I honestly dont have a problem with the games which the kids are awake but when I’m dealing with a blowout I need an extra set of hands

yea I only play games when my kid is asleep. But thank God my wife plays fortnite lol. Gamers DO NOT marry a woman that doesnt play video games or your life will be hell 😂😂
