@findingmelissa: I’m thinking about the kind of people I’m preparing to eventually enter it. I want to raise children who can see someone make a mistake and still remember that they’re looking at a person God created. Kids who don’t need someone’s humiliation to prove that they disagree with what they did. Kids who understand that compassion doesn’t mean calling wrong things right, and discernment doesn’t require cruelty. Because eventually I won’t be standing over their shoulder telling them what to comment, what to share, or when to walk away. My prayer is that by then, we’ve spent enough time shaping their hearts toward Christ that when the crowd is cruel, they don’t automatically become part of the crowd. And maybe that’s one of our responsibilities with this next generation: not just teaching them how to be safe in a digital world, but teaching them how to carry the character of Christ into it. #parenthood #raisingkids #faithbased #cyberbullying #christian
