EVERYTHING IS SO CONFUSING!! been having prodromal labor AND braxton hicks since 30 weeks and ive been able to tell the difference up until about now (38wks) now my braxton hicks are CAUSING bad back pains then it radiates to actual pain, like um how am I supposed to know if these are braxton hicks if they are hurting now 😭

how far along are you? I had (i’m pretty sure) contractions for 6 hours the other night. Braxton hicks don’t last that long. 😭

From my personal experience, Braxton Hicks last less than 30 minutes. Prodromal labor for me which is false labor that was cramps for about a minute every 2 to 15 minutes that lasted me from 11 PM till four in the morning. But the pain never got more intense It just felt like really bad period cramps and it felt like I really had to poop, but I didn’t and my stomach would get really hard, and it never got closer together so when I had gone to my appointment the next day and I told them all about what happened and they checked me and everything they said yeah that’s just false labor.

Mine are LONG and they are like those are contractions then I go to L&D and they say no those are Braxtons like help me understand 😩

The more intense they are, the longer they feel. I had some that were really light at felt like 15 seconds and another that was slightly more uncomfortable and felt like 2 min but they were both 40-50 seconds.

i had a really bad episode one time, it lasted around 2.5 hours and i went to the ER since it was super late at night and they basically told me i was just dehydrated because after they gave me IV fluids i was okay. but it was scary because i didnt know the difference!!
