3850 was the bedrock of access L2 switches, we still have some now in the lab rock solid, there replacement 9300 ain't bad either

but they don't support evpn-mh. network standards have changed. now days we have bgp, underlays, overlays, vxlan, vrfs on everything... and don't even bring up bs Cisco vpc.

Got a hundred of these sitting in a store room at work… probably half a million quids worth when they were installed. Now just used as door stops.
