@purpleforpaisley: Paisley update Paisley has been in ICU now for 25 days 23 of these days have been on life support. Paisley was on the conventional ventilator but sadly took are really bad and scary turn last Sunday and ended up back on the oscillator, fast forward to Tuesday thankfully once again she was able to be moved back to conventional.🙏🏼 On Tuesday the 26th after multiple cultures ( test for infection and fungal markers ) BAL’s ( where they do a deep infection/ fungal test of lungs) paisleys lungs were still not improving despite being on multiple antibiotics/ fungal medications 💊 they finally decide to start her on high dose steroids which obviously come with a massive risk this is why they were being so reluctant to give her them❤️‍🩹 Over the last 5 days paisleys lungs on her Xrays have showed improvement !! Her CRP ( a test that shows how high your infection or inflammation markers are) has dropped from 409!! All the way down to 41!! 🥹 another small positive! Today has been one of her best days since being admitted to PICU even though she’s had her small wins sadly yet again today Paisley has been faced with another complication 💔💔 Paisley is still needing lots of support from the ventilator her sats started to drop once again to the low 80s out of nowhere after having such a good day 💔 the done an emergency xray and they found they Paisley has a pneumothorax ( Air leaks into the space between the lungs and the chest wall. )This puts pressure on her lungs and heart which can cause her lungs to collapse again 💔💔 She has now been rushed to emergency theatre to have a chest drain put in to her left hand side to drain the air from around the lungs and heart so her lung can expand again properly! It’s honestly just blow after blow! We get a few wins and then we are hit with something like this! 😭 each time it’s breaks our hearts a little more! she is a strong girl and has so much fight even with what’s happened today we know our Paisley will be okay and will keep fighting! Just another unfortunate set back! 🥺 Our beautiful girl still needs all the love and support she can get so please keep praying for her, keep supporting her! She’s the most amazing little girl!! As we truly believe it’s just a blip in the road! we are staying positive and she will be back to kicking cancer but in no time 🎗️💜 Fuck cancer 🖕🏻🖕🏻 #cancer #fyp #sad #hope
