tbh, whenever I see a bus actively letting kids on or off and there's not physical barrier between me and the bus, I don't move. It's not worth risking the kids' lives and the fine that can come with it.

You wait and the van waits. If the bus is stopped to let students out at an intersection you wait to make sure no kids are in danger while crossing. When the bus is finished with the kids the most to-the-right vehicle has the right of way to restart the flow of traffic at an all stop intersection (in this case that’s the bus). When in doubt the bus always has right of way.

I was at a 4 way stop like this and it was me and 3 busses, 1 at each stop, none of them had the stop sign pulled out and no kids were getting off so I went cos no one was moving either, got pulled over immediately and ticketed like, $300 😩 so now I just avoid school zones as much as possible lol

The bus is on a separate street/road that you haven’t reached yet. That bus has to stop at the intersection (big stop sign and white line on ground is visible there). If you are going straight toward where the bus is, you can stay put because there’s not much room left after you pass the intersection and enter that road before you have to stop for the bus (a bus on a 2-lane street you must stop in both directions). If you are turning right or left, you should go. That van, if it’s turning right towards the bus, can hold for the same reason otherwise it should not be stopping there beyond the full stop needed for checking its right of way (I can’t see in video if it has a stop sign or not, there’s no line drawn on ground, if no stop sign is there, take the van’s license away immediately fir an illegal stop and endangering others). The only other reason you and van both should stop is if you can visibly see children getting off/on the bus and walking/running towards/from the intersection on your left (straight from where the van is) to pass the street. I doubt the school bus makes students pass that juncture and it most likely stops before (exactly where it is now) and after the intersection but Pedestrians have the right of passage even if they go wild and run to get to bus passing the intersection. So you gotta stop for them before turning right and left. There are no kids on your right side trying to pass the street, can’t see the left. So, are you going straight? Are kids passing across the street to your left? Or are you holding traffic on a separated road without continuity of the bus’s road?

My opinion is just everyone stay until the bus has that stop sign back in and kids aren’t close to the road.
