@anthonypillarella: To be fair, if people ARE talking about it I wouldn't have seen it. I don't spend much time studying motivation these days. #charisma #socialskills #meetingpeople #motivation #psychology
i see that. dopamine for your milestone isn't a bad thing. there are worse things in the world than ramen. when I experienced this, I try to satisfy the desire in a responsible way while keeping the progress going. for you in the situation, that might look like a small ramen or picking a healthy version. not always about the individual event, it's about the journey. you can let a minor hiccup occur without resentment and keep the train moving

Hey, could you talk about, how some people i interact with will complain or say they have nobody to hang with or talk to, but when i offer to bring them among with my group of friends or just hang out with them myself , they will ask who else will be coming and decide then or they just ignore the invitation are they lying or am i just doing something wrong?

it's also comforting to learn that weight gain is equally as long of a process as weight loss.
.
like I learned that you physically CAN'T gain more than 1 lbs in a day. and that was super helpful in helping stick to a diet.
.
like even if you ate 10,000 calories in 1 day you still can't gain more than a lb of real genuine weight (and you might not even gain THAT much) because of how digestion and absorption actually works. like the scale can SAY you gained 5-10 lbs, but most of that is water weight and as long as after that day ends you return to your normal daily calorie budget you will be back to a similar level.
.
so no matter what the scale actually says after you give yourself that one cheat day where you go a bit overboard, you're fine as long as you returned to normal. it's not a failure, it's a reward. and that reward for hitting that milestone can actually be the key difference between the stress levels that might make you quit, vs. realizing you are literally still on track and are allowed to grant yourself some space to be human

Is it a lack of motivation and burn out or is it just that human bodies developed bunch of tactics over many millennia to motivate you to eat (and stay alive) when you’re in a calorie deficit?

After the first two weeks it gets a lot easier because you get into a rhythm, keep going you got it

I think there is a bit of danger that the milestone becomes the goal, and so you push for the milestone and then get dejected that you still have so much farther to go. I wonder if the solution might involve going the other way, properly celebrating the milestone, giving yourself a break or a bit of a reward, then focusing on the next leg
