ngl this is my hottest take but i didnt like how the first ever actually romantic moment we got with him in the og game was literally when we made the pact like u were not fw us up until the whole lilith thing got revelead NO SHADE. I think the devs missed way too many opportunities to give us some chemistry in between to make it worthwhile

The game doesn’t have routes like usual dating sims and we can choose to ‘date’ all of them at the same time and I guess that’s why a lot of romantic interactions in the story feel rushed or weird. They try to include every character and obviously they don’t get to deepen the interactions because it would take too long. The devilgram stories are better if you want to go in depth with your fav characters. Though I also hate that about Lucifer’s storyline!!!😭 Like bro it won’t hurt anyone if you give us just ONE normal romantic interaction. I also find it a bit weird how MC just got into bed with him after their pact when we are basically not really shown close interactions between them before that

Yes I always felt like they could’ve done more to have one on one interactions with mc and the brothers in the first game, what irked me was the PLOT for Lucifer’s marriage route tho in OM I do, that shit was thrown together and felt straight up out of character 😭

I'm glad it's different in the new game. I find it really sweet how affectionate he is in the new game and how he keeps saying cute things in the home menu. (Without any influence from anyone/anything). He could have shown more affection to us in the other games, beyond just praise and small compliments. But I still yearn for his praise hihihi.

to be fair it’s his pride that doesn’t allow him to show vulnerability or affection, it kinda comes with his character? though I definitely think he should still be able to be affectionate and prideful at the same time,it seems possible!! at the same time, I do think the game doesn’t want one brother to be more affectionate than another, otherwise it’d feel too centred on them

Literally this. The main thing I can recall where Lucifer showed affection to MC was when they made their pact. And even then that had more suggestive implications with Lucifer being like “I’m not yours, you’re mine” 😭😭

Not only is he bad at expressing genuine affection, he isn’t the best with it since he struggle a lot with vulnerability. Stack that up with his role as the eldest brother and his position in the devildom, he’s always expected to be calm, strict and firm so much so it leaves no room for him to actually be himself. Which is sad and such good writing, but him being able to love you is such a huge development in itself already. He’s very cute
