they force self checkout then treat you like a thief on the way out the door. I like the idea of self checkout for the purpose of like a loaf of bread or gallon of milk on the way home after work. not for planned household shopping.

I hate self checkout, the POS system is so much worse than just a regular POS, the lines are longer, and it takes away entry level jobs, I’d rather checkout with a human

I have genuinely not gone to a cashier (if there is a self checkout option) in like 4 years 😅 Just SO so so much easier. No forced small talk, no slow cashiers (not all of you but there are some!). It's like peace on Earth I love it.

I like to bag my groceries in a specific way and I know if I go through a line with a cashier even if I put them on the belt the way I want them bagged they will toss things in willy nilly.

if I have a cart full, I want to go to a cashier. if it's just a couple things, self check out all the way. I just always feel so awkward trying to bag a cart's worth of items at the self checkout, there's not enough room and it feels weird to start putting bags in my cart while there's still unbagged products in it.

3 reasons against self checkout: 1. People lose jobs. 2. They can come back months later and accuse you of shoplifting. 3. I dont get a discount for doing it all myself.

I really dont care either way because no matter what you do people will never be happy. I work at walmart also and you open self checkouts they dont want to check themselves out you open manned register they complain the lines are to long. I am just so tired of hearing people bitch and moan and groan about stupid shit.
