@inventionontt: Original Video Credit: IG/slavayorish Small enough to mount in a bench vise, this functional miniature recreates the movement of a traditional Little Giant power hammer. A rotary handpiece spins the model’s drive pulley while a finger-operated treadle controls when the hammer begins striking. Pressing the treadle engages the drive mechanism, transferring rotation into the rapid reciprocating motion of the ram. Changing pressure on the linkage allows the operator to vary the action from slower individual blows to a fast sequence of repeated strikes. Full-size power hammers transformed blacksmithing by delivering rapid, powerful blows without requiring every strike to come from a hand-held hammer. This miniature demonstrates the same fundamental mechanical principle on a scale where the moving components can be observed closely. No copyright infringement intended.
