yes you can all you have to do is add a second one-way value on the main supply line so water can only flow in and not out when the supply line water pressure drop or cut off

🤔 ... it works great ...with less materials 3 none return valves needed...1 at the exit 1 one the inlet and one where the meter or the main enters the premises then put a float check value in the tank

Simply. put a one way check valve and the service entry point. use one pipe with a one way check valve at the base to service the hous. tap into the one pipe to the top end of the tank with a float valve to service the tank. note the direction of the valve arrow.
