The comments here are backward. The Russian ship is in international waters, so we don't have the ability to instruct them otherwise. The safest thing to do for all parties here is to keep the distance. Had the Russian ship been in UK waters, or dangerously close the conversation would have been very different. Despite being enemies, this is a very safe, and collaborative conversation, no matter their intentions.

Russian ship is in international waters same as UK ship. International waters are after 12 nautical miles and they say it's at 16. So Russian ship can require a safe distance

Can tell none of the comments actually payed any attention to the video. The royal navy was better positioned to protect its submarines if it retreated, and then sending the merlin helicopter out to survey the Russian ship at a much closer distance. Tiktok is so brain rotted.
