The the age difference was all I needed to know. That kind of power dynamic is a precursor to abuse. I got w/ my husband, 13yrs my sr, at age 20 as well. Now that I’m older (the age he was when we got together), I’m mortified than anyone supported that relationship. It’s the equivalent of me getting with my 20yo stepson. My brain was ill equipped to handle that power dynamic for the next 10yrs/up even until the very end.

It’s a shame that divorce has to be consensual and legally documented in DV situations, because almost everytime a DV victim announces and tries to get a divorce and leave they end up dead, stalked slandered and other unacceptable situations. 😭😡💔
