Working on Alex's posterior tib today — and this muscle does way more than people realize. For triathletes like Alex, it's taking a beating every single run and every pedal stroke. It controls foot pronation, stabilizes the arch, and helps absorb the ground impact that adds up to thousands of reps across swim, bike, and run. What I'm hunting for isn't always a "knot" — that word gets thrown around a lot but it's not really accurate. What I'm actually finding is restricted tissue. Could be adhesions, sticky fascia, a spot where the tissue just stopped gliding the way it should. Different presentations, same outcome: compensation, pain, and performance loss. The posterior tib also sits right along the Kidney meridian and feeds into the Deep Front Line — the fascial train that runs from the big toe all the way up through the inner leg, pelvis, and deep core. When this tissue is restricted, you're not just dealing with a local ankle or arch issue. You're pulling on everything upstream. This is why triathlete maintenance work isn't optional. It's part of training. #FixingPain #Triathlete #PosteriorTibialis #DeepFrontLine #MassageTherapy
