@tankersofficial: New Uzbek Tank just dropped. The upgraded T-64 was on display at an exhibition in the Tashkent’s Victory Park a few months ago. This specific example is likely a mock up, made out of cardboard and wood due to a weight limitation on the stage.

The T-64 is a good tank. It literally has some of the best cross-country performance among tanks. I honestly don’t understand what all the hate is about. Don’t look at the year it was introduced, look at its actual specs instead. It’s better than the T-72, and in some aspects even better than the T-80 and T-90. The T-64BM2 “Bulat” modernization is incredibly powerful overall. I agree that the carousel is a drawback, but what do you expect? It was basically the first Soviet tank with an autoloader and composite armor. By the way, on the same T-72s, T-80s, etc., the protection and the carousel itself haven’t changed that much either. As for that Uzbek modernization, I think they ruined a perfectly decent tank. Replacing a good engine with a shitty one is certainly a genius idea... Basically, it’s no secret that the new specs they came up with are just unsupported claims that don’t correspond to reality.

yeah so that was just a display model, they do have actual footage of the concept mock up of the tank. the armored vehicle to the right side of the take is the same way. your not getting all those armored vehicles on a shitty stage. obviously displays
