thank you so much for this. i‘m still not diagnosed so its currently hard to get proper accommodations. im taking a gap year now though with no 5-6h labs and not all courses so i can give my body more time to recover instead of pushing it too much and get even worse.

Would love a video about different study techniques you tried and how you deal with brain fog with study!

this is wonderful advice and I hope it helps so many people continue with their higher education ❤️When I became disabled/chronically ill during my 2nd year of uni I was still passing all of my classes with distinction but failing purely on attendance and it was the only aspect they couldn't offer any accommodations on. They said it was due to it being a performance degree but this included lectures and tutes as well. I said I could provide hospital certificates from surgeries but no dice. so I took a year of medical leave and then when that timed out and I was still unwell I had to officially leave the degree.
12 months later it's covid and everyone is suddenly able to do the degree remotely via zoom, no attendance required. But they've been folded in with another degree so my previous 2 years wasn't applicable and I would need to reaudition, re-apply for my scholarship i'd lost and start again from unit 1 day 1, all while more unwell than before and still having surgeries so I was never able to back. Thanks for all your help Monash 💔
