This is true I was put on Statins a few months later I started experiencing neuropathy in my feet. Took myself off the statins watched my diet, and my cholesterol went down, and my doctor doesn’t even know I stopped taking the statins.

That’s fear-mongering 😬. Studies aren’t shown a clear Picture. The positive benefits of statins, particularly on reducing the risk of heart disease, far outweigh the potential risk of developing neuropathy. It shouldn’t affect doctor or patient decisions to start using statins. But if people who take statins develop neuropathy symptoms, they should talk with their doctor, who may reconsider the use of statins.

My wife has high cholesterol. Her doctor prescribed 40 mg of Atorvastatin. The first side affect was muscle soreness, but then she started to experience nerve pain in her legs and especially her right foot which also affects her sleep.
She decided to cut her statin to 20mg per day and started taking an over the counter supplement containing berberine, garlic, and artichoke, watches what she eats, limited alcohol, and started walking and exercising. Her blood tests have her cholesterol levels way lower and in the acceptable range. But her doctor won't agree to take her off the statin. She is now thinking about cutting the statin down to 10 mg, get blood tested again, and then going off of Atorvastatin completely if possible.
Any thoughts on this? Has anyone tried this or done something similar?

Not a requirement: Medical guidelines do not list CoQ10 deficiency as a primary cause of peripheral neuropathy, and lacking supplement-grade CoQ10 does not directly cause nerve destruction.
