@latchingwithgrace: Things I DON’T worry about as a lactation counselor 👇🏼 But first: what’s one thing about breastfeeding that you find yourself constantly worrying about? Tell me in the comments. I have a feeling a lot of us are worrying about the same things. 🤍 ⏱️ How long baby nurses Some babies take 30 minutes. Some are incredibly efficient and are finished in 5–10. I care much more about milk transfer, diaper output, growth, and how baby is doing overall than the number on the clock. 🤱🏼 Whether my breasts feel “full” Soft breasts do not equal empty breasts or low milk supply. As your supply regulates, it’s completely normal to stop feeling constantly full or engorged. Your breasts are continuously making milk. 🍼 Pumping exactly what baby drinks Pump output is not a perfect measurement of milk supply. Your baby and your pump remove milk differently, and pumping less than the amount in a bottle does NOT automatically mean you aren’t making enough. 🌙 Baby still waking to nurse Night waking is normal, especially during infancy, and nursing isn’t only about calories. Babies nurse for comfort, connection, regulation, thirst, and yes, sometimes because they’re hungry. There are absolutely things worth paying attention to when breastfeeding. But I think sometimes we become so focused on numbers, ounces, minutes, schedules and what we think baby should be doing that we miss what the baby in front of us is actually telling us. So tell me: which one of these have you worried about the most? Or drop your breastfeeding worry below and maybe I’ll make a part 2. 👀 #MomsofTikTok #breastfeeding #momtips #newmom #firsttimemom

It was so hard for me to realize my breast might not feel full but I still had milk. I woke up one more and cried for over an hour thinking it was gone

My 18 month old goes in his own bed for half the night then we co sleep when he wakes up around 2 and feeds through the night. Will he grow out of this? Also he only feeds to sleep can’t fall asleep independently 🤦🏼♀️

As a young mum I was able to as I never produced enough and antibiotics that I had to have when my daughter was 2 weeks old ,so my daughter was on formula I think that causes a lot of guilt for some formula mums that would like to but can not physically.I felt it makes me less of a mother but 1 year 4 months later I realise I was doing the best for my body and my daughter .
