No-fail prime rib recipe! #primerib #recipes #holidaycooking 1 x 8-10lb easy carve Prime Rib roast 2 sticks softened salted butter 3/4 cup fresh chopped herbs (I used rosemary, thyme and parsley) Hardcore Carnivore Red seasoning or salt 1. Remove roast from fridge 2 hours before cooking. 2. Preheat oven to 450f 3. Mix herbs with salted butter, then generously season the roast with salt or seasoning. 4. Place it onto a rack inside a roasting pan, then cover with a layer of butter. 5. Roast 30 mins, then baste. Turn heat down to 275f. Roast a further 2-3 hours, basting every 30 minutes. 6. The Prime Rib is ready when it reads 120f internal temp. Start monitoring the temperature after the first 60 minutes at low heat. 7. Remove from oven, cover with foil and rest 20 minutes before slicing.
