Pneuma instantly became one of my personal favourite TOOL songs, and it definitely became a fan favourite as well. It’s a beautiful blend of complexity, dynamics, and tasteful playing. It’s never too busy, and never overplayed. Danny Carey takes the spotlight and shows off his chops when he needs to, but slows it down when necessary as well.
