Kevin, the individual frequently seen operating a drone at scenes for UC Breaking News, works alongside founder/owner Alex Ihrig. In an interview on the UCBN Podcast, Alex stated that he and Kevin are the primary people behind the outlet and said, “If people are offended by our content, then block the page, it’s no problem. We will keep growing.” Kevin has also reportedly been seen at gatherings displaying pro-Trump and pro-ICE messaging. His conduct while documenting ICE activity affecting members of the Hispanic community has further raised concerns among community members about whether UC Breaking News can still be considered an impartial source. During a time when our neighbors, friends, and families are dealing with the very real impact of immigration enforcement, neutrality, accuracy, and professionalism matter.
