@travis.woo.trades: One of the few discretionary edges I still think humans can have is reading crowd psychology at extremes. Not chart patterns. Not clicking faster than an algorithm. Sentiment. Markets often become most dangerous when everyone suddenly agrees. At tops, people start making absurd upside predictions with total confidence. At bottoms, everyone becomes convinced things can only get worse. That’s why I study history. Bubbles repeat. Fear repeats. Greed repeats. The technology changes, but human behavior doesn’t change nearly as much. That does **not** mean blindly fading the crowd. Consensus can stay right for a long time. The opportunity is recognizing when confidence becomes extreme, the trade becomes crowded, and almost nobody is willing to take the other side. That requires social noncompliance.
